In 2025, CCoVA partnered with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) to host a CADCA Mini-Academy. The 28 attendees were from CCoVA member-organizations, as well as community services boards (CSBs) from across the state. This training spanned six days between March and April.
We were excited for this opportunity to bring CADCA Master Trainer Dorothy Chaney back to Virginia for another great training. She covered essential topics such as the Strategic Prevention Framework, community assessments, and how to build Logic Models that will drive results in coalition work. The attendees were then able to take their newly learned (or refreshed!) skills back to their individual communities and strengthen the work they are already doing to build healthy and drug-free communities.
